Dear ISMND 2024 participants,
The International Society for Molecular Neurodegeneration (ISMND) welcomes you to our exciting meeting ISMND 2024 in Seoul, Korea, or from a location of your choice through our virtual platform.
We are thrilled that you are joining us to discuss recent groundbreaking science, to further our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, and to inspire advanced diagnosis and innovative therapy. ISMND 2024’ hybrid format offers great opportunities for scientists in the field of molecular neurodegeneration to attend the invited talks by leading experts in the field, short talks selected from submitted abstracts, as well as vibrant poster presentations either onsite or virtually.
The theme of this biennial ISMND 2024 conference is “Aging, Immunity and Peripheral Factors in Neurodegenerative Diseases”. Accumulating evidence including recent cutting-edge discoveries demonstrate causal roles of aging factors and immune system in the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases, highlighted by the critical effects of central and peripheral immune and metabolic pathways. Furthermore, peripheral factors such as the microbiome and metabolites are also key contributors to disease pathogenesis. As such, the program of ISMND 2024 addresses scientific progress in elucidating emerging pathogenic pathways relating to disease mechanisms, diagnosis and therapy.
With the mission of ISMND to communicate the latest science, train the next generation of scientists, and to promote diversity, ISMND 2024 has offered several opportunities for early career researchers including travel fellowships, poster or short talk presentations, and more importantly the chances to mingle with colleagues including leaders in the field.
ISMND 2024 is co-organized by ISMND, Korean Society for Neurodegenerative Disease (KSND), and the journal Molecular Neurodegeneration (MN). We want to thank our main sponsor, the BrightFocus Foundation, which is also an Organizing Partner for ISMND 2024. We hope ISMND 2024 will provide ample opportunities to learn, network, create, and nourish scientific collaborations, and we wish you a productive and stimulating conference.
Yours sincerely,
-
Guojun Bu, Ph.D.
Founder and BOD of ISMND

On behalf of the ISMND 2024 Organizing Committee
Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to invite you to the International Society for Molecular Neurodegeneration 2024 Conference (ISMND 2024) which will be held at Coex in Seoul from May 26 to 29, 2024.
Physicians, scientists and industry members from all over the world will get together at ISMND 2024 to discuss recently emerging issues and exchange the latest information in the field of neurodegenerative diseases. The ISMND 2024 Scientific Program will cover broad aspects of neurodegenerative diseases including but not limited to: aging and systemic effects; immune and related mechanisms; genetic and biomarker studies; and common and distinct pathways across neurodegenerative diseases. The program will be a highly rewarding international platform for every one of the participants, and it will contribute to the development in our field of science.
You will find Seoul is a dynamic city full of charm. In addition to its deep historical and cultural heritage, it offers all the possible conveniences and world-class facilities of the international megalopolis it has become today. May, with its pleasant weather, is the best time to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery that the capital has to offer.
ISMND 2024 will offer a wealth of events to see, learn, and take away as long-lasting memories, and we are delighted to invite you to take part in this wonderful experience.
We look forward to welcoming you to ISMND 2024 in Seoul, Korea.
Sincerely,
-
